Discover the vibrant energy and ever-changing cityscapes of Japan’s high-tech capital city that will never cease to astound you. On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. DAY 2: DYNAMIC TOKYO TOUR Begin the day with panoramic views from the observatory deck at Tokyo Tower and a traditional tea ceremony at the Happy Japanese Garden. After a stop at the Imperial Palace, savor a barbecue lunch at Chinzanso Garden Restaurant. See the National Diet building, before boarding a sightseeing boat up the Sumida River to Asakusa, where you will see the Asakusa Kannon Temple. The tour concludes with a drive through the Ginza district, the most famous shopping and amusement area in Tokyo. (L) DAY 3: DEPART TOKYO Transfer back to the airport to connect with your onward flight (flight not included). DAY 2: TOKYO SIGHTSEEING Depart this morning for a tour of Tokyo’s main attractions. Visit the Tokyo Tower Observatory for panoramic city views and Imperial Palace Plaza. Drive through Akihabara and Ginza, Tokyo’s famous shopping and amusement areas, then see Asakusa Kannon Temple. (B) DAY 3: TOKYO AT LEISURE A day at leisure to explore more of Tokyo. Perhaps go shopping or visit Tokyo Disneyland. (B) DAY 4: TOKYO - HAKONE Today is a scenic journey from Tokyo to Hakone. On the way, drive part of the way up Mount Fuji and enjoy lunch at Hotel Highland Resort. Continue to Hakone for a boat cruise on Lake Ashi and a ride on the Aerial Cableway at Mount Komagatake. Overnight: Hakone, Hakone Hotel Kowaki-en (Standard and First Class) for 1 night. (B,L) DAY 5: HAKONE – KYOTO This morning, board the Japan Rail Super Express train to Kyoto. The Japanese bullet trains, or “Shinkansen,” are renowned for their innovation in high speed rail travel. Upon arrival in Kyoto, you’ll ^ Kinkakuji Temple, Kyoto be met and transferred to your hotel.
