After you cross the cattle guard, a short drive brings you to the formation. Among the exhibits in Oakley’s Fick Fossil and History Museum are some 11,000 shark teeth collected nearby on the prairie. View many other plant and animal fossils, plus a Kansas wildflower collection and a 1900s general store. Don’t miss the new statue of Buffalo Bill on horseback chasing his favorite prey.
