Making the Most of
Your KBIS Experience
Now that we have all survived the holidays and welcomed another
New Year, our team is ready to welcome you back to Las Vegas for the 2ndAnnual Design & Construction Week. We have taken your feedback and
are thrilled to offer you a Bigger, Bolder and Better KBIS experience!
You will see more of the leading brands, discover the latest product
launches and gain broader industry exposure. As you make your ﬁnal plans
to attend KBIS, I encourage you to take full advantage of everything KBIS
and the expanded Design & Construction Week have to offer. Here are just
a few things you might consider adding to your itinerary.
- Voices From the Industry. More than 90 sessions are being offered at
KBIS 2015 - many will offer continuing education units (CEUs) from the NKBA,
as well as other industry associations, such as NAHB, NARI, and AIA. All VFTI
sessions are aligned to one of NKBA University's Learning Paths: Design &
Inspiration, Focus on the Customer, Business Management and Sales & Marketing.
- Virginia Tech FutureHaus. Located in booth S9005 (South Hall), the FutureHaus research project will explore a more efﬁcient approach to the way we construct buildings. The project proposes that buildings are
manufactured utilizing an assembly-line process in a way similar to the manufacturing of cars and planes.
- DCW Concept Kitchen. Located in the Central Hall Lobby, this kitchen showcase will explore how
sustainability and high performance, resource conservation and universal design can result in a high-tech,
beautiful and very innovative kitchen design.
- The Party, VIP Lounge hosted by Danze. Come join the NKBA for this annual kick-off event on Jan. 19 at
8 p.m. at Tryst Nightclub (Wynn, Las Vegas). Tickets are available at KBIS.com
- Innovative Showroom Awards, sponsored by the Hearst Design Group. On Jan. 21 from 10:30 - 11:30
a.m. at the KBIS NexT Stage (South Hall), the winners of the ﬁrst-ever Innovative Showroom Awards will be
announced, immediately followed by a panel discussion on what made the showrooms so unique.
- State of the Industry Address. On Jan. 21 from 1:45 to 3:00 p.m., Ferguson's COO Kevin Murphy will
deliver a powerful message on the "State of the Industry." Located at the Westgate Hotel - LVH Ballroom A.
- The BASH, Sponsored by Cosentino. The NKBA hosts this casual event to thank all of our attendees on
Jan. 21 from 8:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. at the XS Nightclub (Wynn, Las Vegas). Tickets are available at KBIS.com.
- IBS Spike Concert. Close out the show on Jan. 22 with a private concert by the one and only ZZ Top at
the Westgate Hotel, Paradise Event Center. Tickets are available at KBIS.com.
- Open Auditions. HGTV and DIY Network are always looking for new people with the right skills and
personality to host their TV shows. If you have what it takes, this is your chance to be discovered! HGTV and
DIY Network will hold network-wide open auditions at KBIS 2015 at the NKBA Center Stage booth N2163. Visit
