A Little Girl's Dream
While her mother may have gotten a walk-in closet, the eight-year-old
daughter also received a special place. In front of a mosaic tile wall with
a diamond accent feature, a soft pink vanity appears to float above the
ground.
"It's almost like she's walking into a makeup room rather than a bathroom," said Ovadia, explaining that the vanity is hung off of the floor-toceiling mirror.
The vanity itself has a triangular cabinet design inspired by Christian
Louboutin and his line of spiked shoes, while the sconces play on a "growing-up, jewel effect." One large Caesarstone slab makes up the floor but
cuts down to smaller pieces in the shower for slip resistance.
"For hers, I wanted it very clean and to keep your eye in the mirror,"
said the designer.

From Boy to Man
In contrast, her six-year-old brother's bathroom offers a boyish slant
with a porcelain floor and stainless steel strips inside the grout.
"I wanted this room to have a very masculine feel but something he
could grow into," said Ovadia.
Using a palette of brown and gray, the bathroom is backed by a metallic tile backsplash and accented by a wood inlay in the wall.The corner
vanity, topped with a deep blue countertop, has a waterfall edge to create separation between the toilet and the sink area.
"I wanted the leg of the waterfall to really be expressed, so instead of
having the vanity go down to the floor we lifted it off the ground by about
eight inches," described the designer."So you really have this feel of everything being hung and supported on this one waterfall leg."

The Nursery
For the smallest of the bunch, the baby's bathroom has a teal palette
defined by a tile backsplash in a diamond pattern. The hand-cut teal pattern is surrounded by white tile with a cushion-like effect, which covers the
entire bathroom wall.
The custom-designed vanity complements the wall tile with teal-bordered doors and mirrored faces. Tiny nail studs line the bottom of the vanity to give the piece extra detail and tie in with the crystal wall sconces.
"We also went with a traditional and glamorous medicine cabinet
to make it more girly," added Ovadia, pointing out the elaborate mirror
above the sink.

For the Guest of Honor
Although the main mirror in the powder room is simple, it reflects a
Moroccan-style antique mirror on the opposite wall.
"Instead of hanging art, I wanted to make the actual elements on the
wall like art itself," said Ovadia, pointing out the mosaic tile on the back
wall by the antique mirror. "That tile is how you don't get this feeling of
infinite space but instead something cool."
Under the dueling reflections is a gray oak vanity. To keep the space
open, Ovadia designed the vanity with hourglass-shaped spindles, accented with chrome trim. A vessel sink tops the marble countertop for a
formal touch and the convenience of more counter space.
