DESIGNING A SHOWROOM WITH A PLETHORA OF BRANDS is
difficult, but creating a standout showroom for one brand is a feat.
For True Refrigeration's O'Fallon, Mo.-based showroom, the goal
was to highlight how the products can be used for all design needs.
"We've created an environment where our guests can be inspired, but also get hands-on experience with True products in
new ways," said Steve Proctor, director of sales and marketing.

and allow for custom photography and educational events.
The space also includes an
ample conference area with
two custom-made, live edge
wood tables ideal for hosting
meetings and connecting with
showroom clients.
The showroom was divided into five areas - a traditional kitchen,
modern kitchen, micro-kitchen, outdoor kitchen and wine room
- to best incorporate multiple design concepts into one space. Our
judges were impressed by the creativeness the company showed in
the variety of these vignettes.
"We started with two large kitchens, including a traditional
space and a modern/urban loft kitchen," said Proctor, explaining
that the traditional kitchen is thought of as a large family space,
while the modern kitchen draws inspiration from contemporary
restaurants."We rounded out the space with three other areas that
our products are often featured in."
The last vignette - a massive 540-bottle wine wall and wet bar
- doubles as an area to entertain clients and guests.
The company showroom draws inspiration from commercial
kitchens,rather than the traditional image of a kitchen triangle.Cold
storage is integrated beneath the island as well as adjacent to the
range. Additionally, a separate cocktail bar and island create distinct
zones for cold prep, cooking, serving and beverage service.
