The Backyard

Relax, grab a bite and explore
the newest in outdoor product demonstrations and live
cooking demos in this outdoor area. The Backyard is an extension of the DCW
Outdoor Living Pavilion located inside on the show
ﬂoor that will once again bring attendees a collection of new products for grilling, entertaining and
living well in a home's outdoor spaces. Exhibitors include Almo Premium Appliances, Alfresco Outdoor
Culinary Systems, Grill Dome, Inﬁnity Drain, Caliber
Appliances and Memphis Wood Fire Grills. The
NKBA and "This Old House" will also host "Beers &
Cheers for Trade Careers" on Wednesday, Jan. 11
from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. in The KBIS Backyard. This is
an event to celebrate the Generation Next campaign
and close the skilled labor gap. All proceeds from
the campaign will go to the mikeroweWORKS Foundation's Work Ethic Scholarship Program, providing
scholarships to people getting trained for skilled
jobs in demand. Experience live cooking demos and
enter the rafﬂe to win a variety of prizes at this event.
Must be present to win.

DCW Outdoor Living Pavilion

This space on the show ﬂoor in the South Hall will
feature the newest products for grilling, entertaining and outdoor living.

Virginia Tech FutureHAUS

This year's installment is the
"Bedroom/Home Ofﬁce of
the Future." Look for more information on page 47.

Best of KBIS

Entries for this popular competition
will be displayed on product walls in
the West and South Halls. Get a quick
peek here, and then visit the booths
to see the products live. This year's judges include
Jamie Banﬁeld, principal designer at Jamie Banﬁeld
Design; Tony Izzo, CKD, corporate kitchen and bath
manager at Curtis Lumber Co.; Jenny Madden, Allied ASID, LEED AP, owner at Jenny Madden Design;
Debra Bishop, CKD, owner of Dwell On It Design,
LLC; and Molly Switzer, AKBD, residential sales representative at Chown Hardware. The winners will be
announced at an event hosted by Karman Hotchkiss
and sponsored by Meredith on Wednesday from
4:15-4:45 p.m. on the KBISNeXT Stage.
