2017, our jobs are to spread the news and encourage others involved in our industry to try out for
the 30 Under 30 next year."
The program allows fellow industry professionals to look into the life of
young professionals and the various challenges they encounter. It is hard to
understand someone's reality from the outside, and these recipients get to
share their stories.
"Being a part of NKBA's 30 Under 30 program has given me a platform to
stand up and talk about what we as young designers are really dealing with
day to day,"said Bridgette Schwarz, another KBIS 2017 recipient."It has offered me the ears of major manufacturers, fellow designers and other industry
professionals so that I can help make improvements in how we do business."
Want to improve your chances of being selected? Here are some examples
of information to include in your submission that is due no later than Friday,
July 28, 2017:
"Awards and acknowledgments you have received for work in the kitchen
and bath industry
"Sales and marketing accomplishments, statistics and sales figures
"Certifications related to the kitchen and bath industry
"Community service/charity involvement (industry related or other)
"NKBA chapter officer positions held or other industry-related association
memberships, etc.
"Innovative solutions you have brought to your job, improvements in job processes and project involvement above and beyond your daily job requirements

They have cultivated a strong bond with one

With the 30 Under 30 in its sixth year, the National Kitchen & Bath
Association (NKBA) is in the process of searching for outstanding young
professionals who possess the passion, creativity and brilliance to be the voices
of the next generation of kitchen and bath experts.
As an industry professional, you can nominate a deserving colleague or
self-nominate through NKBA.org/30u30. If selected, you'll collaborate with
a group to propose a solution to real business needs, identify new trends in
technology and study emerging business models at the 2018 Kitchen & Bath
Industry Show (KBIS). You'll meet amazing peers, network with important
industry leaders and get an up-close look inside the kitchen and bath trades.
The association will honor you and your contributions not only at KBIS but
also throughout the year at chapter meetings, events and on social media.
The recent 30 Under 30 recipients found their time at KBIS to be beneficial on both professional and personal levels. They built not only a broader
industry network but also a network of friends.
"Being selected for the 30 Under 30 program has been an incredible experience for me," said Jacob E. Smith, a KBIS 2017 recipient. "The ability to
meet so many others from across the nation, networking and experiencing
the complete differences thousands of miles can bring was the greatest part.
