Dresner reconfigured the master bath's space to accommodate a master closet
and a 60-sq.-ft. linen closet. High-tech features include a TOTO Neorest
550H toilet, LED lights on the top and bottom of the mirrored medicine
cabinets, radiant heated flooring and a frameless steam shower.
Dresner's favorite space in the house is his office, which displays a
variety of cabinet styles including file drawers of Wenge veneer and
uppers designed with stainless trim and 3form acrylic inlays. The twoperson desk is made of Italian white laminate, and a solid wood, white-
pickled oak unit offers ample storage. The wet bar with ebony-cut wood
cabinets and a U-Line glass-and-stainless-front refrigeration unit
keep the modern feel even without the white color palette. The room's
neutral features are paired with pop art Telephone Girl wallpaper from
Area Environment and bright yellow chairs.
The office looks onto the patio, which Dresner designed to "feel more
like living space" where lounging, grilling and dining are possible. A
fiberglass Tulip table atop giant slabs of poured-and-cut concrete mirrors a smaller version in the office.

ADAPTING SIGNATURE STYLE
Despite the nods to warmth and comfort, the
home maintains Dresner's signature style and is
recognizable as one of his designs, of which a key
element is balance.
"I was brought up with an understanding
of how Europeans live," he said. "In Europe,
they only give you certain sizes. If you use the
sizes properly, things will look proportioned."
For example, because most ovens are 30 inches
wide, a 36-in. refrigerator will cause a room to
look unbalanced. In Dresner's townhouse kitchen, the symmetry of the stainless steel wall remains intact thanks to two columns flanking the
Wolf range and concealed hood.To complement
the 30-in. wall unit cooking appliances, Dresner
selected a 30-in. Sub-Zero refrigerator.
