Hi-G-Tek officials say the system monitors and communicates real-time information about fuel in the company’s secondary distribution chain, from depot to pump, in both Romania and Bulgaria. The data captured is processed and transmitted to Rompetrol’s enterprise software system, enabling Rompetrol to track and monitor inventory, deliveries and asset levels in real time. Primary benefits include an estimated 20 percent reduction of excess inventory, an expected 80 percent decline in fraud and a 25 percent decrease in rolling stock.
