In that time, we’ve seen and welcomed many changes in our industry— state-of-the-art tools, innovative technologies, and awareness of the important issues that affect our health, safety and natural environment. Respect for the environment has greatly affected the handling of renewable resources. Vast areas of the eastern United States have been steadily reforested through natural growth and planned management, including stands of Northern Pennsylvania Cherry, as well as Appalachian hardwoods. In many ways, forested resources are more plentiful now than they have been for generations. At Keystone, we have always strived to excel in all we do, and to lead the way in responsible management. All our scrap wood and by-products are used for animal bedding. In the past 30 years, however, some things have not changed at all.
