in Dearborn, Mich., after successfully

Spa franchise opened in 2009. "Having
been a franchisee with many national
brands, we were able use that vast experience to launch a concept as a franchisor that had a tremendous business
model for our franchisees," Mallad
says. "I've always had a personal passion and commitment in my own lifestyle for health and wellness, and that
passion led me to massage therapy."
Massage Green Spa locations serve
customers that range from young
millennials to middle-age clients,
athletes and professional businesspeople, along with women of all ages,
stay-at-home parents and students.

Massage Green Spa has positioned
itself as a value price leader in the
therapeutic massage category, thus
the branding campaign of "affordable
luxury." Mallad's primary intent is to
create a concept that makes massage
therapy available to a broad range of
consumers in an industry otherwise
known for high prices. "We take great
pride to not only offer our massages
at a great price to the everyday consumer but that we execute a great
massage and that our customers
make massage a part of their wellness
routines," he adds.
New customers are treated to a
$39 introductory offer to give Massage Green Spa services a try without
spending an arm and a leg. "Customers tell us that at $39, they come in
thinking that since it's a low price
massage, perhaps they are going to
get what they pay for." Mallad says.
"But we create the wow factor. When
customers walk into our lobby for
their appointment, that's when it
hits them that they are getting an incredible value in our beautiful, tranquil, vibrant spas from our professional therapists."
Massage Green Spa further differentiates the spa experience by
including infrared sauna sessions to
enhance the stress reduction experience, a perk not offered by competitors. The company is well positioned
in the industry, according to Mallad.

in the restaurant industry, where
Little Caesars had several big-name
brands to contend with, he says
Massage Green Spa has one major
national brand to compete with, so
there is room for Massage Green Spa
to disrupt the category and become a
big player.
