The riverboat casino began by
cruising up and down the Des Plaines
River while patrons enjoyed a night
out. Harrah's Joliet sailed from 1993
until 2001, when gambling in Illinois
was restricted to the waterway. Today,
Harrah's Joliet is docked on the river in
the heart of Joliet, Ill.

hotel rooms. Harrah's Joliet will be
celebrating its 25th anniversary all year
long with a variety of events, including
giveaways. On Feb. 25, a patron took
home a new car and the company
plans to hold upcoming events on the
25th of every month.
Harrah's Joliet will also donate to
local charities and organizations to celebrate being part of the community for
25 years. The company supports the
Joliet Slammers and the Rialto Square
Theatre, for example.
