and patios and multi-use flex space. "Many of our home buyers are
not necessarily looking for larger homes," Amy Mosier adds. "They
are looking for more intelligent use of smaller square footage that's
close to the center of town."
Founders and owners Amy and Adam Mosier enjoy giving back to their community.
As its name suggests, Austin Modern Properties focuses on a modernized style of building. It specializes in three styles: mid-century
modern, modern farmhouse and traditional modern. "The design
of the home depends on the preference of our client as well as the
aesthetic of the neighborhood," Amy Mosier says. "The common
thread throughout all of our homes is that we maintain warmth,
functionality and fluidity in a modern design. That includes clean
lines, high ceilings, tons of natural light and energy efficient living."
The Mosiers say the trend in home design, especially in central Austin, is practical and adaptable use of space and lots of indoor-outdoor living space. Their clients are requesting open decks
Austin Modern Properties believes in giving back to the communities it serves. Amy Mosier, a breast cancer survivor, is active with
the Susan G. Komen Austin, a nonprofit organization that hosts
annual events to fight breast cancer.
"After I was diagnosed, I started my own team for the 5K race,"
she says. "I've been active with Komen Austin on many levels, raising over $35,000 through Race for the Cure and the annual gala.
I also volunteered on the fundraising committee for Race for the
Cure 2015 and was the 2016 co-chair for the 5th annual fundraising gala, Mad About Pink."
In addition, the company regularly contributes to KLRU Austin,
the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Operation Turkey and Power
for Parkinson's. Austin Modern Properties is also a member of the
Home Builders Association of Greater Austin, Texas Home Builders
Association and the National Association of Home Builders. )
