Modern Home Builder - Winter 2018 - 29
This 10,000-square foot speculative home features a wine room and theater.
theater, gym, wine room and three-floor elevator featuring granite
flooring, LED lighting and custom wall and ceiling panels.
"We put an immense amount of time into the floor plan, which
everyone now loves," Hasemann says. "The house is second to none
because the things you find in this house you would only find in
homes that cost $15 million and up. My wife and I dreamed up the
design by looking at other homes and pictures, figuring out what
was and wasn't nice, and what could be done better."
In addition, Hasemann notes that it's the functionality of the
house and what it includes that makes it special. "For example, the
butler's pantry is better than most $20 million houses alone," he
explains. "It features transom window trimmed openings, a builtin Sub-Zero wine cooler and I-pad automation control, custom
cabinetry as well as a large food pantry, amongst other things.
"We paid a lot of attention to the refined details in this house,
which is why everyone who walks into the house says it feels special," he adds. "Although they cannot put their finger on exactly
why, they feel it - it's the atmosphere of the place. Most of it has
woodwork and trim throughout and the rear stairwell is beautiful.
It's a three-story twisting staircase lined in wood."
