Modern Home Builder - Winter 2018 - 57
A new development in Daytona aims to
attract homebuyers looking to lead a
laid-back, fun-loving lifestyle.
Minto Communities and Margaritaville Holdings welcomed
hundreds of committed buyers and marked the first official
home sales in November at LATITUDE MARGARITAVILLE
Daytona Beach, a new 55-and-better active adult community in Florida. While getting to know their new neighbors,
more than 300 aspiring residents had the community's first
unofficial block party complete with live entertainment,
complimentary food and drinks, games and more.
"The first day of sales at LATITUDE MARGARITAVILLE
Daytona Beach was a record setting event," says Minto Senior Vice President William Bullock.
LATITUDE MARGARITAVILLE Daytona Beach is now
selling homes in the first phase of 378 homesites. Current
plans call for 3,000 homes to be built, with the possibility of
a future expansion including a total of 6,900 homes. Due to
a limited number of homesites in the first release, sales are
available in person on a first-come, first-served basis. Villas
and single-family homes ranging from 1,503 to 2,564 square
feet under air are now available for purchase.
Amenities at the property will include the Fins Up! Fitness Center with an aerobics studio, indoor lap pool, spa,
group fitness classes and wellness services, as well as community programs offered by Halifax Health. For outdoor
fun, residents will have the Paradise Pool with beach entry,
cabanas and tiki huts as well as tennis, pickleball, bocce ball
courts and the Barkaritaville dog park. At the Workin' N'
Playin' Center, arts, crafts and other programs will be offered - including a Coconut Telegraph Business Center, The
Hanger workshop where residents can tune up their golf
cart and a Barkaritaville Pet Spa.
In the Latitude Town Square, there will be live entertainment under the bandshell. Other amenities include a Latitude Bar & Chill Restaurant, Changes in Attitude poolside
bar and Last Mango Theater for dances and banquets. A private beach club for residents on the Atlantic Ocean will offer breathtaking views and beachfront amenities. A grocery
store will be part of a 200,000-square-foot neighborhood
retail center, among other businesses. )
