D'Anna founded D'Anna Construction Company using the knowledge and experience he gained from his father and grandfather.
Today, D'Anna Construction builds high-quality and distinct custom homes primarily located in Michigan's Macomb and Oakland
counties. The Washington, Mich.-based company prides itself on not
only building unique homes tailored to its clients' needs, but also
understanding the importance and value of family, which is why it
believes that building a relationship with its clients is the first step.
"This is still a family-owned and operated business today,"
President Calogero D'Anna says. "My dad and myself are the
builders, and my sisters and the other sales associates work
alongside the customers."
He adds that the company builds 20 to 30 homes annually, which
are primarily custom-style spec homes, and performs additions.
"We like to say we can be as custom of a homebuilder you want, or
we can offer convenience with the home being fully completed,"
D'Anna Construction doesn't "cut corners" or use low-quality
building materials and designs. D'Anna Construction believes that
building with high-quality materials ensures the home will be delivered the way the client envisions, according to D'Anna. "We
watch trends as far as what clients are asking for, and are in constant communication with great architects who ensure we keep
our finger on the pulse of the industry," he says.
The company's homes typically range from 1,500 to 6,000
square feet. "They come with plenty of amenities, including a finished basement, and a full renovation process," D'Anna says. "We
work with the customer and build their home to fit their needs."
He notes D'Anna Construction takes prides in not taking a
cookie-cutter approach with each home it builds. "We have had
clients say they love working with us because we allow them to
customize whatever they want, even if it's moving a wall," D'Anna
says. "We're not a take-it-or-leave-it builder. We want to ensure
we're building a home for the homeowner. We want them to be
happy not only throughout our process, but also when they actually live in the home."
