homes that will provide its clients with years of enjoyment while
maintaining a timeless sense of beauty, style and quality. Director
of Business Development TD Albright has been with the company for about 14 years and says what attracted him to Winchester
was "the commitment to quality and the focus on working towards perfection."
Bert Winchester founded the Millersville, Md.-based company
in 1980 and has been building Winchester's legacy ever since. Winchester was established on a simple set of principles that defines
the way it does business. Upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity, maintaining diligent attention to quality
and detail and embracing teamwork and cooperation are the cornerstones of its foundation and future.
"We operate from the inside out," Albright says. "That is to say,
we start with a specific set of values and apply those values to anything and everything we do from management to billing to craftsmanship. Winchester has operated this way for over 37 years and
will continue to do so for many more."
As founder Bert Winchester has transitioned into retirement,
Mike Campbell will succeed him as president of the company.
Campbell joined the company in 1990 and has held a number of
positions ranging from carpenter to field supervisor and project
manager. "Mike's construction experience, customer service and
management skills have helped us advance our mission for over 25
years," Bert Winchester says. "I am delighted to have him fill our
head leadership role in the years ahead."
Winchester sets itself apart from the competition throughout
Washington, D.C., and Maryland by maintaining a high level of
quality, sticking to its process, building relationships and maintaining open communication. Each custom home begins with the
client selecting an architect which Winchester immediately begins
working with. "We are not a design/build firm," Albright says. "We
are not interested in competing with the architectural community,
and feel our talents are better suited to support the process and
aid the design team in a way that increases value to the end user."
