trim work, full wood-wrapped windows, large casing on doors,

"It's kind of like a meal deal when you go through a drive-thru, but
we can also customize the packages," Wilkinson says.
THE FUTURE, THE PAST
Founded in 2007, Prodigy Homes began with Jason and Jasmine
Wilkinson's dream: to build homes far above the standards adopted by today's builders. Armed with their strong work ethic and
immense homebuilding experience, and spurred on by a desire to
succeed, the couple formed Prodigy Homes in 2007.
"We're a good team," Jason Wilkinson says. "She takes care of
the office, accounts and contracts and I take care of everything
in the field." Prodigy Homes strives to remain at the forefront of
the homebuilding industry by utilizing new technology and staying
aware of design trends.
The company appears to have been successful in this arena.
Prodigy Homes has experienced steady growth since its inception.
It built 15 to 20 homes annually in its first few years in business.
Today, it builds 25 to 30. "In five years, I'm sure we'll advance past
30," Wilkinson says.
In the future, Wilkinson hopes to be able to develop a neighborhood exclusive to Prodigy Homes. Currently, the company buys
six or seven property lots in a variety of different neighborhoods.
"We may start off by getting together with a few other builders and
then as we grow, we'll be able to do it ourselves," Wilkinson says.
PARADE OF HOMES
Prodigy Homes is no stranger to winning awards. The company has
been snagging awards on a regular basis from the Tri-Cities Home
Builders Association that hosts an annual Parade of Homes.
The parade generally highlights 15 to 20 homes from select
area builders located throughout the Tri-Cities area. Homes are
selected based on uniqueness of their design and style and whether they feature the latest in architectural trends and the best in
workmanship. Aside from judges, roughly 10,000 local people
tour the homes.
In 2016, Prodigy Homes won the "Best in Category" and "People's Choice" awards. In the past four consecutive years, the company also received a "Best Workmanship" award. In 2015, Prodigy
Homes was awarded "Best in Parade." "We also took every judge's
award in our category and people's choice award," Wilkinson says.
"That was a fun year."
Aside from Parade of Homes awards, Wilkinson was awarded the Burgess Builder Select Excellence Award in 2002 - a rare
and prestigious honor for any builder. The award ranks him within the top five percent of the best builders in the nation by Burgess Construction Consultants, Inc., a national building inspection company. )
