As the link between manufacturers and
wholesale distributors, manufacturer's representatives have a complex job. Not only
do the employees of representative organizations need to have sales skills, they also
need to have technical knowledge.
Like their factory and warehouse counterparts, manufacturer's representatives
face challenges on several fronts including
The Association of Independent Manufacturer's Representatives (AIM/R) in October will give representatives the knowledge they need to continue to thrive during
its 45th annual conference in Seattle.
Titled "Disruptive Leadership: Prepare
to Change The Game," the conference will
give both manufacturers and representative organizations an opportunity to net-

their businesses for the better. The conference runs from Oct. 17 to 20, with manufacturers invited to attend the first two days.
Manufacturer's representatives will attend
all four days.
The conference will include vendor exhibits and networking opportunities as
well as panel discussions and presentations on topics including "The Science of
Selling" and "Evolving with E-Commerce."
Author and speaker Dave Mitchell, the
founder and president of The Leadership
Difference Inc., will give a keynote presentation titled "How Great Leaders Think:
Inside the Minds of the Best."
