They think about it when they
fill up at the gas station, muttering curses about climbing prices at the pump,
but fuel also plays an important role in
keeping their homes warm during a frigid
winter and in trimming the grass on their
local golf courses' fairways in the spring.
It allows builders to run equipment on a
construction site year 'round.
Fuel touches people's daily lives and it
empowers companies to grow. Which is
why having a reliable source of fuel is so
important. If a tank goes dry it can mean

United States, Superior Plus Energy Services has been a reliable fuel provider for
nearly a decade.
The company was founded in 2009
when Superior Plus Canada, a Toronto-based wholesaler of propane and specialty chemicals, entered the U.S. market
by acquiring Sunoco's home and heating
fuels and commercial fuels business in
New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and
Pennsylvania. It also acquired Central
Hudson Gases' de-regulated business in
Delaware, Pennsylvania, Connecticut
and Rhode Island.
Today, the company is a leading wholesaler of propane, heating oil products,
diesel and gasoline for the Northeast.
Many residents are switching to propane
because it carries a lower cost and reduced environmental impact. Propane is
a highly efficient fuel, containing 91,333
Btu per gallon, according to the U.S. Department of Energy, and it has traditionally been less expensive than electricity
for heating a home. Propane also emits
fewer greenhouse gases than other common fuels such as heating oil and gasoline
and is listed as an approved clean fuel in
the 1990 Clean Air Act. Further, the versatility of propane makes it an ideal choice
to fuel water heaters, clothes dryers, ovens and standby generators.
Because it is stored in tanks on the
customers' properties, it is more stable
than many other fuel sources. Customers
that rely on propane do not need to worry
about electrical outages or downed power lines - a major concern in rural areas
where electrical grid restoration can be
slow. "We provide peace of mind for you
and your family all year long by helping
keep your home comfortable and safe
while lowering your fuel costs," the company says.
The reliability that propane provides
is especially important to businesses
that risk revenue loss whenever a piece
of equipment goes down or the lights go
off. Having a steady supply of fuel is crit-
