this district is to promote off-season cultural events and encourage overnight hotel occupancy. The
funds made available to arts organizations are to assist in supporting projects that promote tourism

The City of Laguna Beach Arts Commission is currently accepting designs for its annual Banner Competition. During the summer
months, residents and visitors enjoy the color, splendor and uniqueness of the banners hung in the downtown area of Laguna Beach.
Original artworks painted on 4 x 16 feet canvas banners adorn the city and are a statement of the importance of public art.
