Nelson Limited Editions from Louisiana, opens September 13 at NOMA. The exhibition, which draws from the collections of both museums, features prints by more than 50 printmakers who visited or resided in New Orleans from the late 19th century through the present. Prints Past & Prints Present includes 60 artworks by such notable artists as George Dureau, Caroline Durieux, Morris Henry Hobbs, John McCrady, Clarence Millet, John Scott, Noel Rockmore, and Ellsworth and William Woodward. The pieces represent a wide range of subjects, including landscapes, seascapes, street scenes, cemetery scenes, still lifes, genre scenes, and French Quarter views, in a variety of printing techniques.
