POCAHONTAS COUNTY, WV, invites visitors of all ages to have some serious
fun! Events, dining and outdoor adventures await those visiting Pocahontas
County. Whether you're an outdoor fanatic, a knowledgable foodie or simply

this fantastic part of West Virginia.
The Greenbrier River Trail State Park hosts the Greenbrier River Trail, a 78 mile
long hall-of-fame trail providing multiple uses for hikers, bikers and equestrian
enthusiasts. And of course there is always plenty of wildlife and abundant
plant life to discover along the way! There are a number of great lodging locations within five miles of the trail as well, such as the Greenbrier River Cabins,
Knapps Creek Trout Lodge, Appalachian Sport Lodge and Chestnut Ridge
Outdoor enthusiasts will have a blast shopping for their gear or bikes while
preparing for events like the Great Greenbrier River Race, Cass Full Moon Hike
and Greenbrier Trial Bike Trek. Once you've exhausted yourself with the great
outdoors, sample delectable delights at Dirtbean Cafe, Last Run Restaurant
or Jack Horner's Corner.
You can even take a tour through history, learning about Civil War battles
or visiting preserved buildings on the National Register for Historic Places.
