Rent a Cabin at Smith Mountain Lake State Park
We were looking for a place to relax on our long trip and
booked a cabin at Smith Mt Lake State Park. They have a very
user friendly web site and the cabins are great, very up to date,
nice big porches, modern kitchens and quite locations. We enjoyed kayaking and hiking in the area and drove to Historical
Civil War site of Appomattox one morning and made it back
to go kayaking in the afternoon. The park has a great check in
system if you are running late, as we did on our first night and it
wasn't an issue. There was a sealed envelope with all the information plus code for the door lock and our key with other park
information was waiting on the kitchen table for us.

The Hidden Gem!
If you want relaxation and a peaceful setting then Smith
Mountain Lake is the place! We have been coming for years
and enjoyed the boating, food, wineries and people! We love it
so much we have relocated here and have a home on the lake.
Just the most beautiful area where you can relax and enjoy life!
People are so pleasant and kind too! Plan your trip!

Best lake in Virginia
Incredible lake with something for everyone. Lots of marinas
and amenities for the kids and family. Houseboat and ski boat
rentals abound. Very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway for hikes
and scenic drives. Nice sandy beach state park and mountain
climate. Must visit.
