CLASSIC ROMANCE
Kylie Ress and Ryan Tangney met on a whim
in downtown Roanoke in 2013. Their first
date at The Quarter allowed them to relax
on the outdoor patio and enjoy Louisiana
cuisine.
The couple loves taking an occasional
day trip to Chateau Morrisette Winery,
where they've built fond memories. Ryan
coordinated the day down to the last detail,
bringing in their closest friends and family
for the moment. What Kylie thought was
just a fun day of wine tasting and picnicking turned into the best surprise of her life
when Ryan got down on one knee while
posing with her for a photo.
The couple agreed on colors of gold, white
and gray, while they wanted their style to
be neutral, classic and elegant. The Hotel
Roanoke had the perfect outdoor wedding
setting, with a pergola, brick walls with
greenery accents and strings of lights to
create a romantic feel. Kylie and Ryan got
their wish of being married outdoors, whisking away inside to the reception as the rain
came down after they said "I Do."

CREATING MEMORIES
Kylie's father built a large stand to display a
variety of donuts, which allowed guests to
try out new favorites and immediately get
back to the dance floor. White flowers and
lush greenery made up the bouquets, urns
and centerpieces, with large bronze lanterns
lining the aisle and smaller gold lanterns
with candles creating perfect centerpieces.
Guests were able to stay at the hotel and
explore downtown Roanoke, with plenty
of options for entertainment during the
wedding weekend.
From their rehearsal dinner at Blue 5 to
a farewell breakfast in the Regency Room
the morning after, Kylie says she and Ryan
soaked up as much time as possible with
their guests.
"After all, time spent with others is what
creates the best memories!" Kylie says.
