CHRISTMAS WONDERS
Sarai Tucker had recently graduated nursing school and was looking to re-enter the
social world when she found Brandon Hall
on Tinder. He "super-liked" her profile and
two weeks later, they met in person for their
first date, clicking immediately with their
common interests and senses of humor.
Brandon, Sarai and a few family members
went on a vacation to Sweden and Croatia.
They'd spent the day touring Croatia, and
went to dinner, followed by a walk along a
waterfront. Brandon suggested a photo, said
he had a question for her and got down on
one knee. After asking about five times if he
was serious, Sarai, of course, said yes.
Brandon and Sarai exchanged gifts before the
ceremony, opting to swap while holding hands
with a door between them to stay hidden
from one another. He gave her a book locket,
while she gave him an engraved compass, as
he used to be an Eagle Scout.
Sarai and Brandon were married three
months after getting engaged, not wanting
to waste a single second together as man and
wife. Their intimate ceremony took place
with their closest friends and family present. Brandon's childhood pastor officiated
as the couple exchanged their handwritten
vows, and both sets of parents participated
in a blessing over their marriage.
Sarai is grateful for the all the time she and
her mother spent together while making
decorations and other DIY elements, as it
was a true labor of love for them.
The laidback reception included southern
comfort foods, a hot chocolate bar and cookies
instead of cake. Sarai wanted burgundy and
forest green colors, with holly berries and
pinecones. The outdoorsy couple brought in
pieces of nature for their bouquets, boutonnieres and her hair wreath. As the newlyweds
adore Christmastime, their guestbook was
comprised of a variety of ornaments with
well wishes and sweet sentiments that will
adorn their future trees at home.
