Newcomers are warmly welcomed to Lake Country, Kellett says – whether they want to establish a business or set up a residence. Increasingly, Kellett adds, a number of retirees are discovering the region. “They get involved in their community. And, after they retire, they have a wealth of knowledge,” Kellett says. “So they’ll be involved in the industrial development authorities or economic development associations. They have the energy and the will to learn about the area.
