Linda Davenport operates this eclectic art gallery with help from her “wonder dog,” Blessing, a bearded collie that was saved by sheer luck after being discovered in a dump. Here, with more than 3,000 square feet of gallery space, Davenport rolls out the welcome mat to shoppers and browsers alike. “I love this town,” says Davenport, who moved to Clarksville from Green Mountain, N.C. “If I represented every good artist in this town, I would need another 5,000 square feet just to display it.” Pieces for sale range from $10 to $15,000. “And there is an incredible talent in just this town,” Davenport says as she shows off a pool of paintings and photographs on display at this consignment art gallery. Some are watercolors, and some dramatically capture glimpses of knockout sunsets over Buggs Island Lake/ John H. Kerr Reservoir. “I represent 84 different artists,” says Davenport, a framer. “Nobody believed that an art gallery in this little town would work, but I’ve got enough people coming in here that I can say, ‘It will work.’” Gasburg Golf Cars EZGO and Club Cars Available.
