word and kind of male,

another who's 85; one who's
dressed to kill and another
who's dressed to, um, really kill.

n the modern English lexicon few words
have the strength, clarity, versatility and
elasticity of "dude." It is a simple word
of humble origin that has come to mean
just about anything we want it to mean.
Inflection is everything when using "dude" as a
greeting, an expletive, an all-encompassing question, a rejoinder, a congratulatory smack on the
butt, an appraisal of a passing skirt, a lively verb.
Shoot, anything.
So, for our intentions here, we're going to
look at dude-ism: what it is, what it isn't, how
dudes act when presented with certain situations, even the anti-dude. Important stuff when
you're throwing around a word that could get
you into a fistfight.
In order to get the feel, we talked to some
dudes and you can see they're all over the place.
But they're unquestionably dudes, even the antidude. This examination should give you a full
understanding, should you abide through it fully.
