20 TIPS TO FOR YOUNG PROFESSIONALS TO
SURVIVE AND THRIVE IN THE STAR CITY
1. Network. It sounds hackneyed, but it's right on. Our
young professionals do not expect to stay with one company
for a long time, and the best
way to hear about that next opportunity is to connect up. Get
involved with civic organizations,
online communities and afterhours events.
2. Learn what marketing is really about and get solid research
and advice on making your marketing spend just as targeted.
3. Fail fast. If it doesn't work, cut
it out and try something else. In
business and in your career.

4. Get a mentor.
5. Stop complaining, you

perceived slight is not an excuse
to run to HR. But challenge your
manager respectfully, get your
answer and go back to work.

6. Hitting your targets is more

important than whether the
company will be able to afford
a holiday party this year. Align
your goals in the company goals.
