Q: Tell us about the specialties and services your practice provides.
A: Dr. Malinchak, Dr. Matala and Dr. Nina Sweeney see patients from
birth to the end of their lives. We offer excellent preventive care as well
as acute sick appointments daily. We perform minor surgical procedures
such as skin biopsies and mole removals as well as cosmetic BOTOX
administration.
Q. What is unique about your practice that sets you apart?
A: Our patients receive personalized health care tailored to meet their
needs. As members of Privia Medical Group, we're constantly connected
to our patients through Privia's patient portal, online scheduling and
virtual visits. These resources give our patients instant access to their
health history and the ability to send us a message if they have questions
about their care. This partnership has been instrumental in helping our
practice to establish the capabilities we need to ensure that our patients
receive the care they need, on their time.
Q: What are some things the practice does to improve the health/
wellness of your patients?
Each of the physicians in the practice focuses on the benefits of excellent
nutrition and exercise as instrumental in achieving wellness and we
take the time to discuss this in detail with our patients. We address the
importance of stress reduction and smoking cessation.

Q: What is unique about Eye Care & Surgery that sets you apart?
A: Our practice was established in 1987 with the mission of providing
comprehensive eye care with compassion and excellence. Over
the years, as we have grown to multiple Doctors and four locations
throughout the region, our focus has remained the same. Patients of
all ages are cared for by our professional and knowledgeable staff.
Q: What services do you offer?
A: Our comprehensive services include eye exams, fittings for glasses
and contact lenses, diabetic eye care, pediatric eye care, macular
degeneration care, and glaucoma management. Services also include
surgeries, such as cataract implant surgery, laser cataract surgery,
and refractive surgery, including PRK and Lasik. Each of our locations
include a full-service optical shop.
