No one organization can address them all, and no one organization can address them alone. Our community benefit efforts are guided by the Mission and Community Benefit Committee, which is chaired by Alexander Henderson, III, Esq., Vice-Chair of the Lancaster General Board of Trustees. The committee, which reports to the Lancaster General Board of Trustees, is comprised of Trustees and Board members of other Lancaster General organizations and community volunteers. The committee studies health data to identify the community’s greatest needs, evaluates programs and analyzes gaps in services, and recommends initiatives and partnerships that will have an impact today and in the future. Lancaster General also benefits from perspectives provided by the Community Advisory Board, which meets two to three times a year and is comprised of community leaders who do not serve on Lancaster General boards. Henderson also chairs the advisory board.
