Since Lancaster General Hospital opened its doors almost 114 years ago, it has evolved into a non-profit health system that today works continuously to fulfill its mission of advancing the health and well-being of the communities of Lancaster. Our community benefit activities are fundamental to that mission. While we’re working for the community, we’re also committed to working with the community. That’s how we achieve the greatest good: working together as partners. Every day, Lancaster General employees, physicians, volunteers and many hard-working community partners come together to make Lancaster County a healthier place to live. With our partners, we have set our collective sights on ensuring that every individual has access to excellent health and wellness services, regardless of his or her ability to pay. You’ll read of our many endeavors—and our support of the community organizations that partner with us—on the pages of this report.
