Bowlers Journal International - January 2008 - (Page 22) SNAPSHOT FERO WILLIAMS Birthdate & Place: February 1, 1981, in Gardena, California. Current Home: Dayton, Ohio. Nickname: "Freak of Nature," because I made the ball do things that no one else could do. Bowling Moment I'll Never Forget: My first adult tournament, when I beat three pros to win a PBA Regional. Moment I'd Like to Forget: I had the front nine when I was 12, and threw two gutterballs in the 10th. Best Part of Being on Team USA: Exposure. My name was known before; everyone knew me when I finished second. Worst Part of Being on Team USA: Favoritism. The team always consists of the same bowlers. Also, since I now have made the team, some tournaments have made a Team USA rule so I couldn't participate. Favorite Hobby: Bowling. I bet you couldn't have guessed that that would be the answer. Advice I'd Give Aspiring Bowlers: Practice makes perfect. No matter how good you are, someone always will want to bring you down. Ultimate Bowling Goal: A 900 series and win a PBA major. What I First Loved About Bowling: Making the pins dance across the deck. Biggest Misconception About Bowling: That it is a sport. When the world finally realizes that, it will be able to grow. The Superpower I'd Like to Have: To move objects with my mind. In other sports, that ability would be invaluable. Person That I'd Like to Meet: Michael Jordan, because I would like to know how it feels to prove the people wrong who said he'd never make it. The Thing I Least Understand: Why most bowlers want to penalize the people who put time into their games. If You Could Have One Mulligan: I wouldn't use it. The bad shots I've thrown have made me the competitor that I am. What I'd Like to Own That I Don't: A bowling center, because I know what bowlers want. One Thing Most People Don't Know About Me: I am humble and get along with everyone, so if you don't know me, don't judge me. You make yourself look like a fool. Who Makes Me Laugh: People who believe they know more than me and lie to make themselves sound smart. http://USBCopen.com http://USBCopen.com http://USBCopen.com
