Bowlers Journal International - February 2008 - (Page 58) TOURNAMENT GUIDE TEEN MASTERS ADDS NEW SPONSORS AND SPECIAL EVENTS MORE THAN 2,000 YOUTH BOWLERS ACROSS THE nation are expected to enter the 2008 Teen Masters, with local qualifying events scheduled on weekends beginning March 8 and concluding on May 4. The National Finals are scheduled for July 19-27 at Michael Gaughan's South Point Resort Bowling Center in Las Vegas. Teen Masters organizer Gary Beck recently announced that Dexter Shoes, Ebonite International and Kegel have signed multi-year sponsorship agreements. As a result, a number of special packages and events will be offered to the 480 national finalists as they compete in Vegas for lucrative college scholarships, administered by USBC's SMART program. One new feature is the Kegel Cup, which will see an entire high school team from each local qualifier advance to the national finals, where they'll take part in both singles and team competition.
