According to village officials, the center is expected to be similar to a facility that opened in July in Gilbert and cost about $12 million. He sort of made it sound like things could be very interesting at the 2008 International Bowl Expo come summertime. IPic was started by former movie theater executive Hamid Hashemi, with Texas Rangers owner Tom Hicks as one of the partners. The installation features a six-screen movie theater, 11-lane bowling facility, 200seat restaurant and 120-seat bar. It is the first such location for the company. Other locations are being developed in Illinois, Ohio, California and Florida. A NEW FACE AT HOLIDAY In a recent story in the Poughkeepsie Journal, writer Lisa Iannucci describes the many changes that have been made to Hoe Bowl Holiday Lanes in Wappinger Falls, N.Y. Taking note of the way many bowling centers around the country were putting on “a new face” as part of a revival that has seen Holiday’s profits increase 8 percent annually over the last three years, Iannucci wondered what other surprises awaited in the future. “What we do next,” answered Manager A.J. The Illinois native, also a USBC Vice President, was elected at the annual meeting of the BVL Board in Washington, D.C., on Veterans Day. Anthony Perrone, who operates Pin Chasers in Florida, was named Proprietor of the Year by Bowling Center Management in January.
