EXMOUTH'S NEW LOOK After months of delays, work has started on a new building at the Exmouth seafront in the United Kingdom. As a result, Exmouth is expected to be transformed with a sparkling new look via a modern, glass-fronted, three-story edifice that will house a bowling center, shops and a café/restaurant at ground level. Developer Mark Quinn, of Harlequinns Leisure, said: "This will be a landmark building and I am looking forward to creating what will be a fantastic leisure facility." AN UNTIMELY END Holland Bowling Center in Holland, Mich., closed in February, just weeks after celebrating its 80th anniversary. Proprietor Jeff Reest told The Grand Rapids Press that the decision to shut down the historic establishment was not easy to make. Reest bought the center in 2005 from his father, Hank Reest, who ran it with his wife Judy for more than 50 years. When the elder Reest died six months later in a plane crash, the family business just wasn't the same. "Dad was the 2007 Distributor of the Year for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). MARINE BOWL TO OPEN A new 27,000-square-foot bowling and entertainment complex, the Strike Zone, is scheduled to open on the Marine Corps Air Station in Iwakuni, Japan, in July.
