Stay green
Finding environmentally friendly lodging in Arizona just became a
lot easier. The Arizona Lodging & Tourism Association, in partnership with the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and
the Arizona Office of Tourism, has developed the Arizona Certified
Green Lodging Program.
To earn this certification, hotels and resorts must acquire a
qualifying number of points in 15 categories of green practices.
At the time of this printing, the following properties had obtained
the certification:

Peak season in some mid-climate areas of the state, such as
Sedona, is from March to May and September to October, with shoulder

TIME ZONE
Arizona is in the Mountain Standard time zone. With the exception of
the Navajo Indian Reservation in Northern Arizona, the state does not
observe Daylight Saving Time.
