ride miniature trains in Gilbert, Chandler, Anthem or at Scottsdale's McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park (open year-round).
Step back to an 1800s Arizona town at Pioneer Living History Museum in Phoenix. Stroll through Heritage Square in Phoenix to
inspect fine examples of homes and buildings from the 1890s to
the 1920s. Visit an early 20th-century desert ranch house at Oracle State Park, which occasionally can be dusted with snow. See
Hohokam ruins at Mesa Grande Cultural Park, Phoenix's Pueblo
Grande Museum Archaeological Park, Sears Kay Ruin near
Cave Creek and Casa Grande Ruins National Monument near
Coolidge. Examine the art and messages left by early peoples at
