Go on a quest for family adventure!
Rawhide Western Town in the Gila
River Indian Community south of
Phoenix gives adults and kids the opportunity to play gunslinger or cowboy. The Salt River Pima-Maricopa
Indian Community offers several family-focused venues, including Butterfly Wonderland. Or take in arcade
action at Cocopah's Wild River Family
Entertainment Center or Ak-Chin's
UltraStar Multi-tainment Center.

Pottery is another beloved art
form produced in Arizona tribal
communities. Visitors can find
exquisitely detailed Hopi pottery, Zuni pots with boldly
painted designs and earthy Navajo wares. River tribes like the
Mojave are also reviving their
pottery traditions.

R

Navajo rugs have long
been prized by collectors
and designers for their
beauty and the skill of the
weavers who painstakingly
craft the intricate patterns
with wool. You can find
these works of art at trading posts across the Navajo
Nation, including Hubbell
Trading Post National Historic Site in Ganado.

SUNRISE SKI RESORT

Hit the slopes at the White Mountain Apache's Sunrise Ski Park,
one of Arizona's premier downhill skiing venues. Enjoy thrilling
winter sports and a cool place to
laze summer days away, as the

by the White Mountain Apache

The Three Sisters-corn, tepary beans and squash-some
of the Southwest's indigenous
foods, appear on the menus of
both home cooks and top restaurants. Visitors can purchase
