Research in the Clinic
DONORS ACCELERATE
PANCREATIC CANCER STUDY
A new project called PanGen has
been developed and is gearing up
to enroll patients whose cancer will
undergo genomic analysis. PanGen
will have immediate impact on
each patient's treatment and will
provide critical detail as the team
profiles the cancer to offer the
most individualized care possible.
PanGen is led by Dr. Daniel Renouf
and generously supported through
the annual Glotman Simpson Cypress
Challenge. This cycling event raised
$425,000 to advance the work of
Pancreas Centre BC.
Donor funds enabled new
research through four major
clinical investigator awards
and three exciting new research
projects that take studies from
the lab to the bedside.
Dr. Daniel Renouf
is the leader of the new
PanGen project, which
profiles the DNA and
RNA of cancer to create
individualizedtreatment.
