New Flextronics Manufacturing Facility in Poland Opens
A new logistics and manufacturing center has been opened in
Tczew by Flextronics International Poland. The new facility in
Industrial Park will concentrate on the final stages of production
and distribution of products from Flextronics' two other manufacturing centers in Poland.

Google to Contest
Russian Court
Ruling
Google will fight
a recent ruling by
Russia's antitrust
agency, alleging that
Google had run afoul
of antitrust law by
requiring the preinstallation of certain
mobile applications
on smartphones
running its Android
operating system.
"We intend to contest
this decision and
explain in court
why we consider it
unfounded," Google
said in its official
Russian blog. The
case was launched
by Russia-based
Yandex, a Russian
Internet company
that operates the
largest search engine
in Russia. "Yandex is
confident in every
point of its position.
We are ready for the
appeal and welcome
the most open trial,"
Yandex said in a
statement.

U.S. $125.3 MILLION IN 2014 FROM
ONLY $59.9 MILLION IN 2013.

Slovenia, Vietnam to Expand
Trade Relationship
Referring to Slovenia as a crucial
bridge that helped Vietnamese
goods make inroads into the European Union, Ministry of Industry
and Trade (MoIT) Deputy Minister
Ho Thi Thoa explained that the two
countries were working to develop a
closer trade relationship of economic and investment cooperation in areas including electronics,
logistics and processing-related
fields. Trade between Slovenia and
Vietnam more than doubled to U.S.
$125.3 million in 2014 from only
$59.9 million in 2013. Thoa also suggested that the relationship would
help Slovenian firms make inroads
in ASEAN markets.

Polish Trade Delegation
Visits Nevada
Members of a Polish trade delegation recently visited Nevada,
meeting with local companies
in Las Vegas and Reno. "We are
happy to welcome a group of 11
companies from the Polish American Chamber of Commerce in
Warszawa who will be attending
our Conference & Trade Mission
to Nevada led by President of
their Chamber, Maciej Cybulski,"
the Polish American Chamber of
Commerce of Nevada said via
its Facebook page. In addition to
celebrating the opening of a Polish business accelerator in Reno,
the delegation visited the Switch
data storage center. Nevada has
focused on Poland amid Governor Brian Sandoval's efforts to
increase international trade.
At CES 2016, the Embassy of
Poland will promote trade following
a memorandum of understanding
signed between Gov. Sandoval and
the Poland Ministry of Economy.
The embassy will co-host an event
January 5th, at The Venetian featuring companies from the Baltic
states. The event will be attended
by General Counsels of each of
the nations, including Poland's own
Honorary Counsel John Petkus.
High-Tech RussianAmerican Startup

Astro Digital, an international
startup composed of experts
from Russia and the U.S., took
second place out of 1,700 applications at a startup competition in Helsinki, Finland. Astro
Digital's platform can access
satellite data including satellite
photographs and integrate the
data into mobile applications.
