University of Maryland Memorial Hospital
Foundation (UM MHF) plays a strong role in
achieving UM SRH's goal of Team Strength by offering
a variety of resources to support nurses and allied
health professionals in their quest for professional
development. Thanks to generous donations
from the community, scholarships offered by the
Kenneth D. Kozel, MBA, FACHE,
Foundation enable staff members to further their

education and acquire advanced certifications. In
University of Maryland Shore Regional Health
2015, UM MHF provided over $215,000 in scholarship
funds supporting a total of 130 students and staff
members in their educational pursuits.
