The warm summer days are long gone, the colorful leaves of
autumn have fallen and now the winter chill is settling in. But it
isn't just the temperatures that are changing. Did you know that
as the seasons change, so does your skin? Here are three easy ways to keep
your skin healthy and happy all winter long.

USE SUNSCREEN IN THE WINTER. Most people remember their
sunscreen during the summer, but it's important to wear sunscreen all year
round. Even though you're less likely to get sunburns in the winter, UVA
rays are still tough on skin.
USE A HUMIDIFIER. The cooler weather typically brings drier air, and that
means drier skin. Central heating and space heaters blow arid, hot air that
only dries skin more. Adding a humidiﬁer brings much-needed moisture
back into the air.
USE LOTIONS. While there's nothing more satisfying than a hot shower
during cold weather, it can seriously dry out your skin. It's important to
use a good moisturizing lotion after showering or bathing. I recommend
Cetaphil or CeraVe. ■
