Based on the results, they conclude that ADHD is associated with early appearing and enduring subcortical dysfunction, and recovery over the course of development is associated with improvements in executive control functions. Crit Rev Food Sci Nutr. 2008 Jun;48(6):524–537. Synopsis: Authors conducted a review of the literature to examine the possibility of comorbidity between ADHD and obesity. They found that obese individuals referred to obesity clinics may present with higher than expected prevalence of ADHD and, conversely, individuals with ADHD are heavier than expected.
