This would not be possible without the generous support of 100,000 donors across the province who partnered with the BC Cancer Foundation to raise $52.2 million this year. This generosity allows the best and brightest scientific minds in the world to reach new heights of achievement-and the world is taking notice. BC Cancer Agency researchers Drs. Joseph Connors, Randy Gascoyne, Steven Jones and Marco Marra were recognized by their peers around the globe in the World's Most Influential Scientific Minds: 2014 report by Thomson Reuters for vital contributions to the advancement of science. And based on the strength of our commitment to our donors, the BC Cancer Foundation was named a national winner in the category of Best Overall Corporate Governance at the second annual Excellence in Governance Awards.
