Rehabilitation at Euclid Hospital provides you with a complete spectrum of inpatient and outpatient services, along with a dedicated team of physiatrists, physicians who specialize in medicine and rehabilitation, and therapists and nurses to aid in your rehabilitation. Our acute inpatient rehabilitation unit and our outpatient rehabilitation therapies are both accredited by the Joint Commission. Additionally, our inpatient unit is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

Euclid Hospital specializes in a team-based rehabilitation approach designed to help you achieve the best possible outcome. A physiatrist coordinates the team during the development of treatment and recovery plans for your specialized needs. Skilled, experienced team members include certified rehabilitation nurses; occupational, physical, recreational and speech therapists; a social worker; a nutritional representative; and other caregivers, as necessary.
Patients engage in a variety of rehabilitation therapies at the Cleveland Clinic Center for Rehabilitation at Euclid Hospital.

Unique to northeast Ohio, the Neuro Day Hospital Program provides physical, occupational, speech and recreational therapy, as well as social and psychological services and nursing and physician care. Your treatment may include mobility and gait training, activities of daily living, group exercise, medication management and memory and problem-solving techniques. The Parkinson’s Disease Comprehensive Care Program provides you with assessment, coping strategies, lifestyle changes and caregiver education. Your team includes a neurologist and a physician assistant, both with specialty training in movement disorders, and physical, occupational, recreational, speech and swallowing therapists. It is offered in partnership with the Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute.
Rehabilitation therapies
Euclid Hospital offers all rehabilitative therapies on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Physical therapy is designed to reduce pain, improve range of motion, increase strength and facilitate neurological rehabilitation. Through occupational therapy, you may engage in exercises that enhance your functional abilities, such as home management and self-care. Recreational therapy, including art, music and horticultural therapies, helps you to return to activities that you enjoy. Speech therapy will help you to regain communication abilities, to speak again or to use another form of communication. Therapy may also help you to refine memory and reasoning skills. The Healing Garden, located on the hospital back lawn overlooking Lake Erie, will give you a sense of serenity and well-being during rehabilitation.
