FROM THE PRESIDENT Expanding with grace Driven by our mission to serve the community, Marymount Hospital is pleased to report that our surgery expansion and renovation project is progressing on schedule. The steel structure is nearly complete, and the three-story addition to the front of the hospital is taking shape. Totaling 74,000 square feet, the expansion includes eight new operating rooms, two endoscopy rooms, a minor procedure room, two private preoperative and postoperative patient areas, a recovery area with 10 beds, a sterile processing department and centralized nursing stations. Our new main entrance will feature a covered canopy leading to a spacious atrium lobby with a serene patient-centered environment. Comfortable family waiting areas will be located near the cafeteria, gift shop and chapel. The construction project is building upon an already outstanding surgical program that includes state-of-the-art lasers, angiography, endoscopes, laparoscopes and other advanced surgical equipment for traditional and minimally invasive procedures. Surgical services are offered 24 hours a day, seven days a week by more than 150 Cleveland Clinic and private practice surgeons. The surgeons are board-certiﬁed in their surgical specialty and are among the best in the region. When the new facility opens in 2013, patients, families and visitors can expect greater convenience, accessibility and comfort. In addition, the revered Our Lady of Grace statue will once again welcome all, as she returns to a place of prominence in front of the hospital.
