Under one roof Twinsburg-area residents soon will be able to see worldclass Cleveland Clinic specialists close to home. Set to open in late July, the new Twinsburg Family Health and Surgery Center will be staffed by primary care physicians in family medicine, internal medicine and obstetrics/gynecology. Most radiology services will be offered as well as an on-site pharmacy for patient convenience. The facility will also offer a wide variety of specialty care services. “Many patients in this area have asked for more specialty care, and we are bringing it to them,” says Richard Kratche, MD, the center’s medical director. “We will be able to treat most patients’ needs right here, saving them from having to drive to a faraway location.” New Twinsburg facility offers one-stop care for area residents appointment,” says Dr. Kratche. “This will reduce the need for follow-up visits and repeat trips for lab work.” An outpatient surgery center will allow most procedures to be performed on-site. The outpatient surgery center includes four operating rooms, two endoscopy suites for colonoscopy, and two pain management suites, as well as a bronchoscopy suite for the diagnosis and treatment of breathing-related problems. The center will be connected online to Cleveland Clinic’s Electronic Medical Record system, making the appropriate sharing of patient information between physicians and other health care team members quick and simple. “This really will be one-stop shopping for the residents of Twinsburg and the surrounding communities,” Dr. Kratche says. “There has been a lot of growth in these communities and we are very excited to be able to offer Cleveland Clinic care that meets all of their needs.” Comprehensive Care—and Convenience Also set to open in July, the 190,000-square-foot center will feature a 24-hour emergency department with helipad, the ﬁrst of its kind not attached to a traditional Cleveland Clinic hospital.
