hen life gives you lemons, make lemonade. When one door closes, another door opens. It’s always darkest before the dawn. What do these sayings have in common? All, no doubt, were first uttered by optimists. After a cardiac event, a person may feel thankful to have lived one more day and will likely want to prevent the event from happening again—so much so that there is a renewed motivation to live a healthier life. Cardiac rehabilitation offers people support, education, medical monitoring during exercise and much more.
